UPDATES FROM WILAYAH LAND OFFICE
Dear members of KL Bar and pupils-in-chambers,
Please take note of the new/improved procedures that had been implemented by the Wilayah Land Office recently:-
1. Counter Service - the counters operating hours had been extended to 4.30pm effective from 01.04.2010.
2. Registrations of any transaction (for landed property) can be registered within one (1) day, effective from 01.03.2010 (provided all documents are in order).
3. All presentation to the Land Office must include:
o Photocopy current Certificate of Practice of the solicitor who attested the documents for the presentation.
4. Suspended Presentation – The attested solicitor must attend the correction/amendmends within 3 working days upon notification by the Wilayah Land Offce; failing which the presentation will be rejected without further notice.
